VORFREUDE Series happened in lockdown. What a weird time that was, the word means ‘awaiting a better outcome’ or something similar. I used the composition line plans I usually work with and the colours took over, some muted, some like stained glass. I was able to intensify digitally but the work was done with very nice felt tip pens and ink and watercolor paint. they have an 'unfinished in progress' look I like. There are about twenty five at least of these, I will select a small series to list as prints. I worked for weeks on these, it was great to produce something colourful in such a dull and unusual period of our time.
